“It’s instructive to note that Kennedy Agyapong’s most recent allegation is a repetition of one he made about a month ago, in which he claimed—without providing evidence—that he was offered money to resign and serve as Dr. Bawumia’s running mate. We publicly refuted this baseless claim on September 30, 2023.”
Speaking over the weekend on Time FM in Kumasi, Mr. Agyapong—who finished second in the August 26 Super Delegates Conference—said he was offered the enormous sum but turned it down.
He refuted rumors that he asked for $500 million before making the choice as well.
