Today, August 29, 2023, Kennedy Agyapong, a flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has arrived at the party’s headquarters to appear before the discipline committee.
He was called in for allegedly making threats and charges against Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and President Akufo-Addo during the Special Delegates Conference on Saturday.
The committee called Agyapong to testify regarding the assertions he made in the video.
The Assin North MP was seen threatening the president and vice president in a widely shared video over claimed attacks on his agents.
“President Akufo-Addo, I will give you a showdown in this country, I swear to God,” he was overheard saying. Vice President, if you drive away my agent, I’ll have a showdown with you. I promise to God. You will be informed of what will occur. I will seriously confront President Akufo-Addo, I vow to God.
Some of Kenndy Agyapong’s fans welcomed him when he arrived at the party headquarters in a convoy of vehicles.
He was then led inside the committee chamber, where the panel will likely interview him.
