Obiri Boahen threatens legal action against Dormaahene

This comes after the Berekum Traditional Council was informed by the Paramount Chief that seven traditional chiefs had cut their connections with the organization.

He gave an explanation of the judgment in relation to the Council’s order prohibiting him from going to the late Berekum chief’s funeral in November.

The statement was delivered at the 2023 end-of-year review meeting by Dormaahene, the president of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.

The judgment will be reversed, according to Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, if the Berekum Traditional Council provides a more compelling justification.

In response, Obiri Boahen vehemently said that the Dormaahene lacked the power to make such declarations.

He feels that holding a fair hearing before reaching a conclusion was the proper course of action for the chief.
