The Australian government published the RBA’s first external assessment in forty years earlier this year.
The assessment recommended 51 changes, including requests for the central bank to be held more accountable and to have a clearer framework for monetary policy.
According to government data, Australia’s financial services sector continues to have one of the biggest gender pay discrepancies in the country.
The Workplace Gender Equality Agency discovered a 28.6% pay gap between men and women throughout the industry last year.
This was greater than the country’s gender wage disparity, which was 22.8%.
