Mr. Frimpong expressed his appreciation to the creators of the Agrigate website, a software platform that gives farmers more pertinent information on farming. He said the website has the potential to become a hub for government digitization efforts, which could also combine free training courses with unemployment assistance.
He emphasized the importance of Agrigate Farm in fostering the next generation of farmers and promised government support for the farm.
Felix Appiah Nyarko, the CEO of Agricgate Farm, explained the platform’s goal of revolutionizing agriculture in Ghana, especially for the younger generation.
In order to discourage aspirational youth from looking for possibilities elsewhere, Mr. Nyarko emphasized the value of cooperative efforts from all parties involved in the agricultural ecosystem.
He urged individuals and businesses to back the organization and speak out in favor of the program’s sustainability in order to encourage more young people to pursue careers in agriculture.
