False allegations that the Bawumia Campaign received Islamic funding
The Bawumia Campaign Team was made aware of an article by a Nigerian journalist named David Humdeyin that claimed the Bawumia Campaign was being supported by an ACF-affiliated Islamic organization.
On social media, we see that some individuals and organisations in Ghana have reproduced the same narrative.
This story is obviously made up, fraudulent, and only exists to further the propaganda goals of those who are promoting it.
To be clear, the Bawumia Campaign receives no support from or has any affiliation with any Islamic organization in Nigeria or anywhere.
We also take note of the fact that the aforementioned David Humdeyin has a history of falsely accusing individuals and organizations in Nigeria.
