According to Pastor Mensa Otabil, Ghanaians have the belief that the government should handle all of our issues.

One of the issues facing Ghanaians, or the country, is that we are prone to believing that the government should handle our issues. Because we believe that the government is the only entity capable of resolving challenges in the community, we lack private enterprises and private initiative to resolve our problems, according to Pastor Otabil.

Pastor Otabil emphasized the significance of holding governments responsible for their actions while promoting citizen-driven solutions. He said, “Governments must solve problems, and when they fail, we must hold them accountable.”

Pastor Otabil encouraged his congregants to actively participate in the church’s community outreach initiative, Central Aid, in order to spur real change.
