Ghanaians frequently have a tendency to look only to the government for answers to social problems, according to Pastor Mensa Otabil, General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC).
At this year’s Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh night on December 24, 2023, Pastor Otabil urged people to adopt a different perspective and actively engage in and support community development efforts instead of relying exclusively on government interventions.
He voiced worry during his sermon on the business sector’s scant involvement in social interventions and emphasized the necessity for people and institutions to actively participate in resolving communal problems.
