In a message, the Chamber had instructed its members to shut down their facilities from July 1 through July 8 in the event that the government would not pay them 30% of the $1.73 billion owing to them.
In contrast, the IPPs have decided to continue operating their power plants after July 1, 2023, in accordance with a statement issued by the chamber on Friday, June 30th. This is because they have reached an agreement with the Electricity Company of Ghana.
