Grab, the top ride-hailing company in Southeast Asia, has slashed 1,000 staff.

Additionally in March, the meal delivery service Just Eat announced it would eliminate 1,870 positions in the UK due to a drop in business. The company announced that it would stop using in-house couriers and switch to contractors, which would result in the loss of 1,700 jobs.

Additionally, the US ride-hailing service Lyft declared in April that it would eliminate more than 1,000 positions, or more than 25% of its workforce. It also stated that it would not conduct any more recruitment
