A police officer was killed on June 22, 2023, in an attack on a bullion van at a gas station in the Ablekuma Fanmilk neighborhood of Accra, according to the police.
At the time of the attack, the deceased was sitting in front of the white van.
He was shot multiple times by one of the four assailants, who fled with two bags whose contents are still unknown before he was killed.
The group of four attacked two motorcycles in broad daylight, frightening nearby people and customers at the gas station.

During the attack
Despite the fact that the incident was reported to the media in the late afternoon, eye witnesses indicate that it actually occurred at around 1:30 pm, which is supported by a statement from Star Oil.
In a statement, the oil company said that it was “deeply saddened to announce an armed robbery attack at our Ablekuma Fanmilk station on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at approximately 1:30 PM.”
