“There was a three-man committee that was intended to consult with interested parties; when you speak with them, they claim that the decision did not reflect what they suggested. No one ever learns.

“People don’t want to leave their high places, despite the fact that they have led our nation into the kind of catastrophe that we are currently in. They are still acting independently and perched atop some flimsy ivory tower, he claimed.

On January 12, 2023, Bright Simons posted the following on his Twitter page: “We can certify that the government is nowhere near the ideal 80% participation percentage with one working day left before the deadline for the debt exchange scheme set by the Government of Ghana. Additionally, it won’t achieve the 60% rate required to at least demonstrate “excellent development.” There are too few commitments right now.
