Anas responds to the viral footage from 2019 that purportedly shows him’stealing’ land in Tse Ado

It’s important to remember that Mr. Kennedy Agyepong (also shown in the film), the proponent of these baseless accusations, is currently in court alongside Anas Aremeyaw Anas in a defamation case. Kennedy Agyepong published images of the late Ahmed Suale on his NET 2 TV previous to his murder.

He suffered a setback when he questioned Anas’ legal integrity before the General Legal Council. Again, the court deemed Mr. Abdul Malik Kweku Baako’s charges to be baseless and empty, and he already lost the first round of the defamation suit he brought against him.

Parts of the film display Mr. Charles Bissue’s erroneous assertions. Tiger Eye recently provided a thorough debunking of his fraudulent claims. (https://www.myjoyonline.com/full-text-anas-vs-charles-bissue-on-galamsey-deals/). We reaffirm that the allegations of bribe requests to have the Galamsey Fraud exposé dropped are untrue and without foundation.

It’s remarkable that whenever these allegations are made, the accusers never provide particular names or supporting documentation. They also don’t take the initiative to report such occurrences to the police so that they can be dealt with in accordance with the law. Every observer should be made aware of the fact that these allegations are baseless and must be handled as such.

A man with cornrows who one person suspected to be Anas was accused of stealing land in the video. We want to reiterate this for humanitarian reasons: disseminating recordings of people and labelling them as ANAS could put innocent people in danger since they might be mistaken for the people in the videos and be targeted as a result.

We also want to make it clear that Anas Aremeyaw Anas, CEO of Tiger Eye, has never forcibly or illegally evicted someone from their land and hasn’t engaged in the alleged incident. He has not been found guilty of unlawful land expropriation by any court.
