Otto Addo, the head coach of the Black Stars, has asserted with confidence that his club is capable of defeating any opponent worldwide
.
With a fourth World Cup appearance planned, Ghana will enter the tournament in 2022 as the 32 participating nations’ lowest-ranked nation.
Otto Addo told TV3 that although though his squad is capable of defeating any opponent, the first game would be crucial since it will set their strategy for the second game.
“That much is certain: We are capable of defeating any squad on earth. I believe this is our first game, but the outcome of the second one could very well depend on the opponent. Since you will undoubtedly approach a game differently if you need points. The situation is slightly different whether you have three points or one point and your opponent has lost. The first game is crucial because it determines how we go in the second game “explained he.
The Black Stars face a challenging task in the World Cup because they are paired with Uruguay, South Korea, and Portugal in Group H.
At the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakra, they will face Portugal to start their World Cup campaign on November 24, South Korea on November 28, and Uruguay to end it on December 2.
