Margolis, who is best known for playing villains, was really hailed as funny and self-deprecating.
Margolis’ wife, Jacqueline, son, and numerous grandchildren all survive him.
As he led tributes on Instagram, Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White in the television series Breaking Bad, expressed his “very saddened” feelings.
“Mark Margolis was a wonderful person and a really fine actor. Off-set, enjoyable and interesting, yet on-set (in the case of Breaking Bad and Your Honor), threatening and frightful.
“His calm energy belied his cunning spirit and inquisitive mind… Additionally, he enjoyed telling jokes. Already, I miss him. Mark, please take a moment to rest and we appreciate your friendship and outstanding body of work.
