In the Assin North Constituency, a few Chiefs of Assin Achiano have been photographed praying against any unexpected election-related schemes by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
A representative of the chiefs who led the prayer urged the local deities, Nana Bosom Pra, to deal ruthlessly with anyone who tries to prevent the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from winning the by-election in a video posted on Twitter by a handler named @AnnanPerry.
He contends that the NPP has let down Ghanaians and voters and does not merit a chance to win the election.
He prayed for the NDC’s chances to be favorable as well as for the wellbeing of all party officials and members.
The man continued, “While pouring the libation;
“We respectfully request that you protect the traditional leaders present, as well as our followers, children, and young people. May nothing bad happen to us before the elections. The election is tomorrow, and we promise to put anyone who tries to rig it against the NDC in your hands. Even for us farmers, the NPP has let us down by being robbers. Therefore, may the force be with anyone schemes to undermine the NDC and whoever attempts to rig the elections.
