Old Mutual SA, which commemorated 177 years of achievement in 2022, includes Old Mutual Insurance, which was founded in South Africa. Even though Old Mutual is a relatively new company in Ghana, it has made good progress toward becoming a national insurance provider.
2013 saw Old Mutual begin operations in Ghana after acquiring the bulk of Provident Life Assurance. The company began operations as Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (Ghana) Limited in 2014 after undergoing a complete rebranding.
Three key pillars have enabled Old Mutual to reach notable milestones: growing its customer base, creating consumer-focused products, and creating a socially conscious company.
Among these achievements are the opening of nine branches nationwide, rising to the top of the corporate insurance market, forming alliances with Ecobank, and building a quickly developing pension company.
Along with these cutting-edge technologies, the company created embedded solutions for partners, customized Group Life Assurance (GLA), and Ecoretire. Furthermore, Old Mutual was the first in Ghana to provide a retirement salary (annuity) and WhatsApp insurance.
