In an effort to strengthen the local economy, Ghanaians have recently been advised to purchase goods created in Ghana due to their exceptional quality.
The statement was made by Minister of Trade and Industry, K. T. Hammond, yesterday at the 3rd made-in-Ghana Bazaar in Accra. He stated that consumer patronage not only satisfies consumer demands but also significantly supports other profitable areas of the economy.
“Every purchase made here today supports our communities’ production and sustainability while also supporting livelihoods.
He remarked, “You are not only meeting your needs but also investing in the local economy by supporting your local businesses and artisans.”
He mentioned that the NPP government, led by President Akufo-Addo, has started a number of programs to help small companies in the area.
According to the Minister, these kinds of measures have also increased market access and boosted industrial production, particularly in industries that handle locally produced raw materials.
