The BET award winner asserted with confidence that he is straight and that he expects his kids to follow in his and his wife’s footsteps because of the type of upbringing they are receiving.
“I think most of the time, people will look out for you. My mother was straight, my father was straight, and I am straight. In my opinion, the bulk of my family line demonstrated straightness. I am therefore confident that I am straight and that I can prove it. My spouse identifies as straight. As long as they keep going in that route, my son and daughter must also be straight. Thus, they will discover that, Stonebwoy stated during a Starr Chat on Starr FM interview with Bola Ray.

In mid-June 2021, Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana Alban Bagbin stated that LGBT+ rights “should not be encouraged or accepted by our society” and that “urgent actions are being taken to pass a law to eventually nip the activities of [LGBT+] groups in the bud.”
Later in the same month, the Ghanaian Family Values Bill 2021 and the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights Bill 2021 were proposed by eight Members of Parliament. In addition to John Ntim Fordjour of the New Patriotic Party, the eight members of parliament were Sam Nartey George, Della Sowah, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Alhassan Suhuyini, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, Helen Ntoso, and Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, all members of the National Democratic Congress. At a prayer gathering of Ghanaian MPs on July 1, Alban Bagbin declared that he anticipated the law to be approved within six months, claiming that “the LGBT+ pandemic is worse than COVID-19.”
