Inaki Williams came from behind to take the ball from Portugal’s goalkeeper Diogo Costa with a few minutes remaining in the game, coming within inches of scoring the game’s decisive goal.

Costa dropped the ball onto the field without noticing Inaki Williams standing behind him. With the intention of scoring the goal, the striker sprinted forward swiftly to rob Costa of the ball.

Unfortunately, Inaki Williams stumbled and lost a significant scoring opportunity. Later, Reuben Dias arrived to clear the ball, putting an end to Ghana’s chances of earning a draw.

As Ghana withstood all of the pressure Portugal brought to the game, the first half came to a barren conclusion.

In the 65th minute, Ati-Zigi narrowly missed the ball, allowing Ronaldo to score a penalty.

Later, Ghana changed the game as they searched for a goal, and captain Andre Ayew scored the equaliser off a feed from Mohammed Kudus in the 73rd minute.

Joao Felix scored the equaliser shortly after regaining parity thanks to a defense-splitting ball that connected with him.

Rafael Leao scored Portugal’s third goal two minutes later, ending Ghana’s chances of tying the score.

Osman Bukari, though, scored a header in the 89th minute as the whole Portugal defence gave up.

Sadly, Ghana fell to Portugal 3-2 in the game.
