Ken Ofori-company, Atta’s Databank, which provides transaction advisory services for the issuing of government bonds, is said to have received GH159 million from the government since 2017.
The accusation is being made by Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, the member of parliament for South Dayi, who claimed that his calculations were based on a paper provided to the committee that looked into the motion to censure Ken Ofori-Atta last month.
In a tabular representation of the data, Dafeamekpor claimed that in 2021, the government gave Databank GH 8.5 million. The amount paid to Databank in 2019 was the lowest ever at GH11.83 million.
The paper, which was shared on social media with the following caption: “This is how much Ken Ofori Atta and his company have profited from the borrowings he’s done so far for this Govt….very astonishing amount of money in fees.
