Citing Volkswagen, Toyota, Suzuki, and Nissan as examples, he said that the government has also made progress in luring both local and foreign investment into new key industries in 11 major auto companies.

He also expressed gratitude to the private sector for remaining steadfast and accepting the NPP government’s audacious plan for industrial development.

“Despite the challenging obstacle of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is your investment and entrepreneurial resilience that have allowed us to come this far and sustain progress,” he continued.

The potential for strategic economic diplomacy has become so apparent that States are increasing collaboration between non-State actors, thus increasing their importance to World Trade Organization (WTO) issues, according to Mavis Nkansah Boadu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

She stated that by helping Ghanaian companies get access to international markets for their products and services, the Ministry has been carrying out its economic diplomacy agenda in conjunction with its diplomatic missions overseas and partner organizations.

According to the Deputy Minister, this means that through the network of Ghana’s missions overseas and diplomatic missions accredited to Ghana, the Bazaar will make it easier for Ghanaian goods and services to enter international markets.
