Vice President Dr. Mahamoud Bawumia welcomed them upon their arrival to applause and a customary ensemble.
Speaking at the KIA, Veep Kamala Harris emphasized her commitment to facilitating conversations that will enhance and spur opportunities across many facets of the continent.
In particular, on this visit, she stressed doing work that is steady on addressing climate issues and fostering good country ties.
“I want to work on increasing investment, promoting growth, and opening up opportunities in a variety of areas, including the economic empowerment of women and girls, youth entrepreneurship empowerment, digital inclusion, and supporting efforts to improve food security and climate crisis adaptation.”
