Unlike other companies that have let off hundreds of thousands of workers since the pandemic, the computer behemoth has escaped huge layoffs in recent years.

Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, stated to CNBC in May of last year that layoffs would be a “last resort.”.In 2024, the industry will have already experienced over 50,000 job losses, according to tracker.layoffs.fyi.

GlobalData estimates that it employs 161,000 people worldwide.

According to Paolo Pescatore, an industry analyst at PP Foresight, “no one is immune to job cuts,” despite Apple being the most valuable corporation in the world.
