Yaw Preko, a former Ghanaian international, explains why the Black Stars’ coach Otto Addo doesn’t need to be replaced before the World Cup.
In Group H, The Black Stars are matched up against Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
Between November and December, Qatar will host the largest soccer tournament, featuring 32 nations competing for the ultimate prize.
The Black Stars’ first Group match will be against Portugal, followed by matches against South Korea and Uruguay, two of the biggest teams in Asia and South America, respectively.
After the Black Stars’ international friendly versus Brazil and Nicaragua, Ghanaians criticised Otto Addo for his selection and strategy.
Ghana fell to Brazil 3-0 before bouncing back to defeat Nicaragua 1-0.
Some Ghanaians have asked for Otto Addo to be replaced with less than 45 days till the World Cup kicks off, but Great Olympics head coach Yaw Preko disagrees.
“If you make changes now, you’ll mess up,” he warned Asempa FM.
“With only 46 days until the World Cup, any changes would be difficult to implement. If Otto Addo demands it, people will be brought in to strengthen the technical staff. The issues can be fixed by the technical team.
