When Charles Gyamfi attempted to push past two defenders and fell in the area without receiving the pass with minutes remaining in the game, referee Franklin Akumatey gave the home team another penalty.
The penalty incensed Kotoko supporters who had travelled to the game, but goalkeeper Frederick Asare once more made a superb save to prevent the visitors from taking the lead.
Following the game, supporters of Kotoko and other football teams vented their anger on social media about the bad officiating in the Ghana Premier League.
